Midway Ice Castles Maternity Session

This Midway Ice Castles Maternity Session was such a dream to shoot! The Midway Ice Castles are a frozen attraction in Midway, Utah. Literally, they are a castle with caves built out of ice. They are incredible and it’s an amazing experience to visit them.

We shot Chelsea’s Midway Ice Castles Maternity Session durning normal operational hours and just shot around other visitors and guests. Can you believe that? And it was crowded! We just shot quickly and tried to move around, out of people’s way.

Chelsea’s stunning green dress was from Mikarose and was beautiful against the ice and on her skin tones. Also, her baby bump is just THE cutest little thing ever.

Maternity Pictures

I’ve said this SO many times, but when you’re pregnant, you’re likely not going to want to take maternity pictures. You’ll be tired and worn out and likely will feel a little weird in your body, but as soon as your sweet baby is born you’ll wish you had them. You’ll be so grateful for the body that literally grew your baby that you’ll want pictures to document that special time. I can’t recommend doing them enough.

When Should I Take Maternity Pictures?

I always recommend my moms take their maternity pictures between 28-35 weeks. That’s when you have an adorable little bump that’s perfect for photographing, but you’re not so uncomfortable that you can’t walk around or pose easily. It’s the perfect window!

Can I Book a Session at the Midway Ice Castles with You?

YES!! The Ice Castles will likely be open through early March. I’d LOVE to shoot with you. There is a $40 travel + location fee in addition to my normal family or maternity session pricing.
