29 Weeks | A Pregnancy Update
+Baby Size
We have a 30 week ultrasound on Monday morning that I am excited + nervous about. My placenta has a weird cord attachment so we need to check to make sure that baby is growing and gaining weight like she should be. If she’s not, then we’ll have to schedule an early induction. According to my favorite pregnancy week by week site, she should be the size of a zucchini on Monday and weigh almost 3 pounds! So i’m hopeful that she’ll be okay.
+My Stats
So far I’ve gained 3.5 pounds. Which is crazy. With my last pregnancy, by this time I was well into the 20s. But I’ve been MUCH sicker this time around and much more active. Having a two year old while pregnant means you don’t get to nap after work or lay around because you’re sick. It’s exhausting haha.
I have some new stretch marks, but because I know they will heal again, I’m not worried this time around. I know it’s part of the process.
I’m in minor pain. If you’ve been pregnant, then you know the pain I’m talking about, and I’m SO tired, but other than that, I’m feeling good.
+Other Updates
We close on our new house in two weeks. I’m super excited to finally be able to get life settled down. The weird, in between has been much harder than I anticipated. I really want to be able to decorate, clean, organize, and get ready for baby.
I have a VERY busy July and August as far as shoots go. I’m trying to get as much done before baby as possible. I also have some super exciting things for this fall/winter as far as business goes, so I’m trying to get those all prepared and ready.
OH…and Baby has a name (at least, I think). I probably won’t be 100% sure until she’s here, but I love it and bear has an adorable nickname for her, so that makes my heart happy.
Bear sure has been the happiest little guy lately
It’s getting harder and harder to see my toes. This baby is getting big!
Caught a glimpse of myself while checking out our house. Looking very pregnant. Also, we hate that light.
We have CARPET. So close to closing!

Hi, I'm Kayla!
I’m Kayla, owner and photographer. I started this business as a side hustle to pay for my college tuition and am so grateful for how much it’s grown. It’s such a privilege to be able to shoot with my clients, year after year. I can’t wait to work with your family!
