The Best Picture Spots at the Silos in Waco
We just got home from a 5 day trip to Dallas and Waco. It was such a fun chance to explore Texas. While we were planning our trip, visiting Waco and the Silo District created by Chip and Joanna Gaines was a must. We decided to drive down to Waco and stay in town for 2 days to explore.
Where to stay in Waco:
We stayed at the Hampton Inn in South Waco, right off the freeway. As we were researching our trip we looked at lots of darling Airbnbs but decided that we wanted a pool to play in. The Hampton was nice and was super close to the Silo District, so it worked perfectly.
Where to Eat in Waco:
There’s no question, you need to stop at eat at Magnolia Table. It’s about 7 minutes from the main Silo District but is super easy to find. We made reservations online 2 weeks before our trip and that was a good call. I definitely recommend making reservations. We were there on a Monday morning and the little restaurant was packed. I’m so glad we didn’t have to wait for a table.
The food was SO good! Like, so good. We ordered the lemon + lavender donut holes for the table and scarfed them down. Then we eat tried something different. My husband had the biscuits and gravy, I had the french toast and tater tots, and the kids had pancakes. It was all amazing. SO YUMMY. The restaurant is darling, of course, and the presentation of everything is absolutely perfect. We loved eating breakfast here and can’t recommend it enough.
The Best Pictures Spots at the Silos in Waco:
We loved visiting the Silos. There’s definitely a lot of people there, but it’s so fun to shop and snack. I also took LOTS of pictures. Here are the best picture spots at the Silos in Waco:
- Magnolia Seed + Supply Garden Area: The garden is darling and the greenery is beautiful for pictures. I took some pictures of my kids playing and exploring in the gardens and they are my favorite shots from our whole day.
- The greenery wall by the bathrooms: This is a hidden gem. There are some bathrooms near the grass play area and next to the bathrooms is a beautiful greenery wall. This is the perfect picture spot and was completely empty!
- The lawn near the Magnolia Shop: I love the patio pavers + the grass out in front of the Magnolia store front. This is a much busier spot, but if you can time it right it’s a beautiful spot for pictures.
- The water station: There is a darling little house with a water container in it and it’s a cute spot to get shots of your littles getting water.
- The Jeep + Silos: If you shoot near the garden bathrooms you can get a fun angle of the silos + the jeep and it’s a great spot for a family shot.
There are SO many darling spots for pictures, but these were my 5 favorites. Have you visited the Silos before? Did I miss any spots – Tell me in the comments!
