Family pictures at the Utah State Capitol Blossoms are my FAVORITE. It’s the most beautiful two weeks in Downtown SLC and is the start of spring in Utah and family pictures season. This darling family is one of my favorites. Their kids are absolutely darling and SO kind. I love shooting their little family. The blossoms at the state capitol typically bloom the first week of April and last about 2 weeks.

The crowds can be a little overwhelming at the capitol and can leave your pictures full of other people, so we recommend shooting on week nights or in the morning during the the blossoms window. This will help you avoid the crowds and have a much more pleasant experience.

We shot the first week of the blooms just as the trees were hitting peak bloom and they were just STUNNING. The light was beautiful and so warm!
