Herriman Extended Family Pictures are some of my favorite to shoot! I love working with extended families! I love capturing Grandpa + Grandma and all their darling grandkids. I love seeing cousins interact. And I love the relationships between adult siblings. These sessions are so special and so fun to be a part of!

We shot this Herriman Extended Family Pictures session at the Cove in Herriman. The Cove is a little park and preserve area with a couple of ponds, fields, and lots of oak trees. We shot in the morning and I absolutely LOVED the morning light filtering through the trees and grass.

One of the most frequent questions I get is about extended family sessions – what kind of pictures do we do and how long does an extended family session take? An extended family session typically is about 60-90 minutes and here’s my typical work flow:

• the whole family 2-3 poses
• grandma + grandpa and all the grandkids
• just the grandkids
• each individual family
• each individual person
• grandma + grandpa and all their original kids
• all the original kids
• just grandma + grandpa
