Best Utah Family Photo Locations for Spring:

Spring in Utah can be unpredictable and often doesn’t green up as quickly as you’d think it would. But here are my favorite Spring locations for family photos in Utah.

1. Antelope Island in Layton – Antelope Island is a great option in early Spring because the climate is rocky rather than green. So, even though everything is dead, it looks beautiful! And Spring is before the gnats get bad because the temperatures are still nice and cool, so it’s a perfect option for Spring.
   
2. The Great Salt Air – The Great Salt Air in Magna is another neutral location that doesn’t have vegetation so it doesn’t matter if things are alive or not. The Salt Air is also prone to the biting gnats, so shooting in early Spring is perfect.
   
3. The Utah State Capitol Blossoms – The Cherry Blossoms at the Utah State Capitol are iconic and are so unique to Utah. Although they attract crowds, this makes for a beautiful backdrop for Spring family pictures. The blossoms typically bloom at the end of March or early April and last about 2 weeks
4. Manning Orchard – Manning Orchard is in Kaysville and is absolutely breathtaking in the spring. Truly, it’s one of my favorite locations all year! The blossoms are beautiful and the light can’t be beat! There is a $40 fee to shoot here but it’s so stunning that it’s worth it. The blossoms typically bloom mid-April.
   
5. Tunnel Springs – Spring is beautiful at Tunnel Springs if you like the Green hills look! The green grass usually lasts until mid-May or early June before it turns golden, but it’s so vibrant and full of color that it’s a beautiful backdrop for Spring Family Pictures.
