DIY Blue Gallery Wall
DIY Blue Gallery Wall
I am so excited to share this DIY Blue Gallery Wall with you! I just finished this wall in the loft area in my home. It was a plan white wall before and I decided that I wanted to decorate it and turn it in to a gallery wall. I loved the idea of the modern grid wall and knew I wanted the wall to be a statement wall, of sorts. After finally convincing my husband, I painted the wall dark BLUE. Yes, blue!!
I chose a beautiful chalk paint from Valspar that I bought in the home section at Target. I believe the paint color was named Denim Blue. It took about three coats and had a very thin texture (i’m guessing because it is chalk paint) but once it was on and dry it was beautiful!
I found some beautiful gold frames at Target that hold an 8×10 and are matted. They are big and beautiful. Then, I printed six of my favorite images from Persnickety Prints and framed them.
I’m definitely not a perfect painter, but I think the wall turned out beautifully and adds a beautiful detail to my loft area.
