Finding a New Normal During Covid 19 | The Valdez Family

How are you finding a new normal during covid 19? Is there a normal? I think we’re all praying this is temporary, but the uncertainty makes us cling to something that is normal.

Continuing on my front porch series, the Valdez family are dear friends that we lived next to in Eagle Mountain. And while I miss them so much I’m still grateful to see them. I shot their family portraits on their front porch this past weekend. Here’s what Kenna had to say about their quarantine.

“Quarantine for a mom with little too young for school and a husband who is still currently able to go to work hasn’t changed MUCH for us. However, it has forced us to slow down. To appreciate the quiet moments we have together. We’ve learned new games and built robots. We’ve watched movies and snuggled more. We’ve taken the time to give “being together” more meaning. On the other hand, I think I’ve gained twelve pounds and we’re only a week in. But calories don’t count on quarantine!!!”
