Great Saltair Family Pictures | Erickson Family

This Great Saltair family pictures session was absolutely stunning. We shot at shoreline of the Great Salt Lake at the Saltair property. The sand at the Great Salt Air is white like salt and is SO beautiful.

Where is the Great Saltair?

Finding the Great Saltair can be tricky! The address for the Great Saltair is 1075 S. 13312 W., Magna UT 84044. The Saltair is just off of I-80 east at the Great Salt Lake Marina State Park. When shooting at the Saltair, park at the south parking lot and walk in to the gated area.

What to Expect for Family Pictures at the Saltair

The Saltair is one of my favorite places in Utah for family pictures. It’s a beautiful, neutral location that is about 20 minutes from downtown Salt Lake. When shooting at the Saltair the plan on getting dirty! The white, salty sand is messy and if you decide you want to shoot in the water it will be muddy. BUT, I promise you the mess and the mud is totally worth it!

The Erickson family was so great! They were kind and just fun as can be. We shot their session in between one child coming home from a mission and another about to leave on a mission. It was the perfect time to shoot updated family pictures. The Erickson family wore white, blue, and tan for their session and it was beautiful! I loved the contrast of the beautiful colors against the white sand and white skies.
