Halloween Mini Sessions

Halloween Mini Sessions were something I first offered last year as a way to thank my clients and followers for all their support. This year I decided I wanted to do free mini sessions again, but wasn’t quite sure how I wanted to do them. Then, the Conklin’s home burned down and the ideas of doing free mini sessions for donations was born. Chelsea and I put together a list of items that her family needed and then I asked that people that attended my mini sessions bring an item or items from that list to their session. It. Was. Awesome. We were able to get tons of the items off of the list for the Conklins – paper towels, books, onesies, bows, baking supplies, and more. It was awesome to see the pile of stuff at the end of the sessions all ready to go for the Conklin family.

Lots of other people were willing to donate even though they weren’t attending the mini sessions. They brought items to my house to give to a family they didn’t even know. It was seriously amazing and SO kind.

Halloween Mini Session Decorations

For my Halloween Minis this year, I wanted to do a simple concept and have them inside, because last year they were SO cold. I chose to shoot at The Studio at Union Square (which is one of my favorite studios) and then do a wall with paper bats on it and use their orange wall. It was SO simple, but so darling! I love how the images turned out! Especially the ones with the darling bat wall.
