Fresh 48 | Utah Newborn Photographer

You guys all know how I feel about Fresh 48 sessions for new babies and their families. The hospital stay with a new baby is such a special time and I love being able to capture it for families. The Maurer Family is just the sweetest. I loved shooting their maternity session and was so looking forward to seeing them with their new baby.

I arrived at the hospital in the afternoon and got there right as big brother B was getting there. I snuck into the room and got everything set up for the Fresh 48 session before big brother B came in. As soon as he came in he ran right to his sweet mom. He had missed her SO much while she was giving birth. It was so sweet and my my momma heart so happy! I was so glad I got to capture this moment as part of their Fresh 48 session.

Once B had met baby he opened some special gifts that his new brother had brought to him. It was such a sweet gesture and I feel like it’s such a great idea to help introduce and older sibling to their new baby sibling.

The room at Mountain Point Medical Center was beautiful! It was so light and so big – a photographer’s dream. We were able to get some shots of Baby S in his basinet, which you know, are my favorite fresh 48 shots ever. Then we got some shots with mom and dad and baby. Baby S was so sweet and just quiet as can be. His session was a dream and it was so fun to be in the hospital with a sweet new baby. I just love capturing newborns in the hospital and feel so lucky to be able to do this as my job.
