I woke up on this sweltering July morning and realized that these summer months are slipping by way too quickly. To make the most of summer days still ahead, here’s a summer photo bucket list highlighting the quintessential moments I hope to capture.

Cell Phone Photography Workshop August 24th

Summer Photo Bucket List

Splish splashin’ at a splash pad or pool
There are so many awesome splash pads and pools to choose from but the SCERA Pool and the splash pads at Vineyard Grove Park, Wardle Fields Regional Park in Bluffdale, and the Town Square Park in St.George are a few of my absolute favorites.

Enjoying a snow cone or ice cream cone
Snow cones are my all time favorite summer treat. Hokulia is one of the best snow cone stands, and here’s a pro tip: Always add a Sno Cap.

Barbecuing and fireworks
Pioneer Day is only a few weeks away! Don’t miss your chance to snap that classic picture of dad at the grill or little ones mesmerized by fireworks.

Riding a carousel and all the other carnival rides kids love
This summer, my family has loved all the parades and city carnivals in Utah County. If you haven’t been to one yet, don’t miss the American Fork Steel Days, Spanish Fork Fiesta Days, or the Utah County Fair.

Hiking or camping
Explore the great outdoors. I highly recommend Cascade Springs along the Alpine Loop. My toddler loves splashing in the springs and looking at the plaques along the trail that show the different plants and animals found there.

Picnicking
Keep summer simple; pack some sandwiches or pick up a Happy Meal and head to your favorite community park.
