Temple Wedding Day Timeline | Utah Wedding Photographer

This post is going to be more directed towards members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. But really, this schedule can be used for anyone, just replace the “temple” part of the Wedding Day Timeline as a whole and add your own ceremony.

Your wedding day can go however you want it to go, but in my opinion, there is a better way to make sure your day goes as smooth as possible! You can achieve this by making sure you have a solidified wedding day timeline schedule, that is easy to follow. Along with having a schedule, make sure you give your timeline to anyone of importance, like your photographer and DJ. That way they know what your day is going to look like and know exactly where they need to be when they need to be there.

I’ve created an easy temple wedding day timeline just for you!

The Best Temple Wedding Day Timeline:

10 am – Sealing Time

11 am – Temple exit

11 am – 12 pm: Pictures at the temple

1 pm – Lunch

5 pm – Family pictures at reception

6 pm – Reception/Dinner

7 pm – Cake Cutting

7:10 pm –  Bouquet toss

7:15 pm – Garter Toss

7:20 pm – Mother/Son dance

7:30 pm – Father/Daughter dance

7:45-8:15 pm – Dancing

8:30 pm – Exit

Read my blog post here on unique wedding exit ideas!

It can be tweaked, obviously! But in all of the weddings I have shot over the years, this just seems to make the most sense and has the best flow.

Hi, I'm Kayla!

I’m Kayla, owner and photographer. I started this business as a side hustle to pay for my college tuition and am so grateful for how much it’s grown. It’s such a privilege to be able to shoot with my clients, year after year. I can’t wait to work with your family!
