Trapper’s Loop is an incredible spot for your family pictures. This magnificent mountain location is east of Ogden, Utah along highway 167. Trapper’s Loop is a scenic byway that connects Huntsville and Mountain Green, Utah. This beautiful byway runs along the eastern side of the Wasatch mountain range. It is accessible year-round for any vehicle type. This area is especially beautiful in the fall when the leaves are changing colors and the grasses have dried to a stunning gold.

Rest assured, our favorite Trapper’s Loop spot is very easy to find — in fact it’s located right on the side of the road. We love this spot because it offers incredible views of the golden fields, hillsides full of red, yellow, and orange, and that silhouette of jagged mountains off in the distance. This breathtaking backdrop was perfect for the Russell family. The fall colors and the golden light certainly complemented them and their navy and soft pink color palette.
