Family pictures in the hills near Tunnel Springs park are absolutely gorgeous. This beautiful park is located in North Salt Lake — about a 15 minute drive from downtown Salt Lake City. Tunnel Springs has some of the most beautiful rolling hills that you can find this close to the city, not to mention vast grassy fields and an incredible view of Salt Lake City. All of these features coalesce into one beyond lovely location for your family pictures.

When you book family pictures at Tunnel Springs, you’ll park at the gravel parking lot. There is a paved parking lot near the tennis courts, but this lot is usually full and it’s far from the actually hills we’ll be shooting in. Instead, as you near the park look for the gravel road that’s just east of the tennis courts. Drive down this road until you find a gravel parking lot. Park here, and then you’ll walk about 5-10 minutes up the Bonneville Shoreline trail. This short walk gets you deep into the beautiful hills and grassy fields that will frame your family perfectly.
